Jamie Grey is an award-winning television journalist and former professor. Currently, Grey is the executive producer of investigations for Gray Television’s InvestigateTV. She specializes in investigative, watchdog, data, crime, political and document-driven reporting techniques. Recent award-winning work includes a documentary about hate crimes that won an NAB Service to America award and a story in collaboration with ProPublica and The Santa Fe New Mexican about nuclear weapons workers that won a National Headliner Award.

As an investigative reporter, Grey has uncovered stories from big problems with the state coroner system in Missouri to questions about the timeline of a police Taser case in a local bar. She has covered many murder trials gavel-to-gavel and has been live-blogging from inside courtrooms for years. Grey has received numerous awards, including a regional Emmy for crime reporting and several regional Edward R. Murrow awards for investigative reporting.

Previously, she taught radio and television journalism at the University of Missouri School of Journalism. She was also managing editor for KOMU-TV, the NBC affiliate for Columbia and learning lab for journalism students, and chief investigator for the TARGET 8 Investigative Team. She reinvigorated the station's investigative brand, and in the brand's first year under her direction, reporters turned more than 50 investigative stories. Her students have won awards for their work under her supervision, including a student Emmy and Kansas City Press Club award, and multiple Hearst journalism awards. She also presents webinars and other instructional material through Investigative Reporters and Editors, Inc.

She also was an MMJ reporter in the Cedar Rapids/Waterloo/Dubuque, Iowa area and an investigative reporter in Boise, Idaho.
